I started my blog as a way to document my attempts at finding life's hidden, little treasures ... and as a way to distract myself from my Ph.D. studies in psychology - just don't tell my professors. I'm about to start a whole new adventure by traveling around South Africa for 6 months!

Summer Shopping: Maxi Dresses

Looking to add some staple pieces to your closet this summer? Don't miss my Summer Shopping series. Some of you have been sporting summer outfits for a while now, but if you live in the north like me, then you understand that it isn't summer weathers just yet. So, in the meantime, I shop! And I thought I would share some of the best finds for this summer.

Today, we shop for maxi dresses. They are definitely a must and omnipresent in blogs and Pinterest. I love the totally relaxed look it gives. Every time I see a girl wearing a maxi dress, I can't help but think how cool she looks. I have wanted a maxi for a while but I have not been able to find one I didn't get lost in. If you are also short, you have probably face the same problem. I am decided to look into it more seriously for this summer. It looks like Old Navy, JCPenney and Urban Outfitters have some really fun and affordable models and, since they are so cheap, I can always get them hemmed to fit me perfectly.

Musical Crush

I'm quite in love with the sound of Mumford & Sons lately. Their sound just gets right to me. It has everything I love in music: raw folk sounds, husky voices, sweet lyrics. If you fell for them like I did, and if you also enjoy the reknown duo of Simon & Garfunkel, then you will probably love this song.

I've been listening to this song (and all their music) a lot lately, but I mean, you definitely can't go wrong when you pair the genius of Paul Simon with the musical talent of Mumford & Sons.
